We do not assess buildings, we do not carry out fire safety work, and we cannot tell you whether your premises is compliant. If you need an assessment, appoint a competent person. If you have an urgent concern about a building, contact your local fire and rescue service.
General information only
- Nothing here is advice about your specific building. Fire safety turns on the detail of the premises, its use and its occupants, none of which we can see.
- Nothing here replaces a fire risk assessment. The legal duty sits with the responsible person and cannot be discharged by reading a website.
- Licensing and legislation change. Council schemes are reviewed, redrawn and extended. Always check the current position with the council or authority itself.
- Figures are indicative. Any prices or fees mentioned are for orientation only and were correct when we checked them.
