What this site is
An information site about fire risk assessment in the United Kingdom, and a way to find assessors covering your area. We are not fire risk assessors and we do not carry out or quote for assessments.
What the information is worth
- It is general information, not advice on your building. Nothing here is a substitute for a fire risk assessment carried out by a competent person.
- Legislation and licensing schemes change. We update pages when we learn of changes, but the official source, whether that is legislation, your council or your fire and rescue service, is the version that counts.
- Prices are indicative. Any figures given are for orientation and are not a quotation.
Assessors listed on this site
Being listed here is not a recommendation, an endorsement or a warranty of competence. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that anyone you appoint is competent, and the questions to ask are set out on our pages. Where a listing is ever paid for, that page will say so plainly.
Enquiries
When you submit an enquiry, we pass it to assessors covering your area. Any contract you go on to make is between you and them. We are not a party to it and we take no commission on the work.
Liability
We take reasonable care over what we publish but we do not warrant that it is complete or current, and we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
